Good or bad idea to reach out to the manager that interviewed me for a position that just came open?
Title doesn’t make much sense but I couldn’t think of a concise way to explain.
Basically about 2 months ago I went deep into the interview process for a training program with a company I really wanted to work for that would eventually become a full time job and despite being one of the finalists I was not selected. However, due to the nature of the role they told me that there would be new openings soon as members of the team will complete the program at different paces and I was encouraged to keep an eye out and re apply when that happened.
About two weeks ago it came open again and I went ahead and applied. I have the email address of the manager who conducted 2/3 interviews and remained in regular communication with me throughout the process. Is it a good or bad idea to reach out to her directly?
I’m also just not really sure what I’d say I guess but any advice here would be great!
