The Premier League is now utterly boring.
I am old (44), so there might be a hint of nostalgia at play here but I do honestly believe that football is dying a slow, expensive, paywalled death. £100+ for a kids shirt, ridiculous wages, transfer fees, agent fees, ticket prices beyond most families and corporate everything is killing the game, leaving a saccharine shell of the sport I love. I still love football but can’t remember the last time I sat through an entire game completely engaged. VAR is awful, betting everything immoral and perverse, the clubs we love largely detached, and worst of all the quality of football is mind numbingly, screeching dull.
