Has anyone else noticed how unusually extreme the weather…

Has anyone else noticed how unusually extreme the weather around the world has been these past few months?

Maybe I'm just paying more attention to weather news recently, but does anyone else feel like the number of weather anomalies happening around the world has gotten noticeably higher these past few months?

It seems like every few days I'm reading about another place experiencing something abnormal. There have been major heatwaves and wildfires across parts of Europe, unusually high temperatures in a lot of regions, extreme rainfall and flooding in parts of Asia, drought elsewhere, unusually warm ocean temperatures, and some pretty intense tropical weather.

August especially caught my attention because it didn't seem concentrated in one country or even one continent. There were unusual conditions being reported in Europe, North America, China, Japan, India and other parts of Asia at roughly the same time.

Obviously extreme weather has always existed, and I know there's also a strong El Niño developing right now, so I'm not trying to attribute every flood, heatwave or storm directly to climate change.

But it does make me wonder: are we reaching a point where the effects of climate change are becoming noticeably visible in everyday weather?

For years, climate change was often talked about as something that would become increasingly apparent over the coming decades. I'm wondering if what we're seeing now is partly what that transition actually looks like, not necessarily one gigantic climate disaster, but the baseline gradually shifting so that heatwaves, extreme rainfall, droughts, wildfires and other unusual events happen more frequently or become more intense.
