27 Hr bus ride with Greyhound- very nervous
I'm traveling with my boyfriend and his relative. I'm just wondering if there's anything I should expect. Looks like we're sitting fairly in the front or right in the front. It's a whole family trip and we would be the only ones on bus. I kind of want to do it mainly for the experience and then I come back on plane if I figured I hate the bus ride lol. I'm just scared of not only the safety aspect given we'll make stops in the middle of the night and a transfer too where we'll be at a bus station for almost an hour at 3AM, but also the potential of someone stealing the luggage from the compartment bins at the bottom of the bus (I heard/read they open it for every stop). Has anyone ever traveled this long and had any safety issues? Whether it's the bus itself or just personal safety like being followed, harassed, etc.? I'm trying to ease my brain and tell myself at least this will be an experience because I've never really traveled through bus before and definitely not almost 30 hours which seems like overkill.
