Dollywood's steam train should be retired and dismantled immediately.
Yes, it's a piece of history and an icon of the park, but it's also insanely noisy, pollutive, uncomfortable to ride and genuinely painful if you happen to get soot in your eyes (which happens to me every time I ride). I've been going to Dollywood since I was a child; I hated it then, and 20 years later I still do. I regularly see both children and adults covering their ears and/or wincing in pain every time that conductor sees fit to blow that god-awful whistle, as thick clouds of smoke billow up and smother the surrounding area. I've enjoyed train rides at other theme parks but this thing is literal hell on wheels.
