GOSPEL VERSE AND REFLECTION
REFLECTION;
On the feast of the Archangels, Jesus calls Nathanael "an Israelite without guile." Nathanael asks how Jesus knows him. Jesus saw him under the fig tree before Philip called him. Nathanael confesses: "You are the Son of God!" Jesus promises: "You will see angels ascending and descending on the Son of Man."
Jesus is the new Jacob's ladder â the bridge between heaven and earth. The archangels serve this mission: Michael defends in spiritual warfare, Gabriel announces God's plan, Raphael brings healing. They are not decorative figures but active agents in salvation history, between the visible and invisible worlds.
Nathanael's openness â his lack of guile â made him capable of seeing what the sophisticated missed. Simplicity of heart perceives the movement of God. The angels ascend and descend around us in grace and providence, but only the guileless eye of faith recognizes their ministry and the Lord they serve.

Lord, open my eyes to the unseen realities of Your kingdom. Through the intercession of Saints Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael, protect me, guide me, and heal me on my pilgrim journey.
Jesus, I trust in You. AMEN!
