A Quiet Road
“I stood at the beginning of the road, wondering where it would take me…”
The morning was still,
the sky was soft and wide,
and not a single voice
was walking by my side.
Behind me were the footsteps
of all the years I knew,
the laughter and the tears,
the dreams I carried through.
Ahead, the road was silent,
disappearing in the light,
I could not see its ending,
I could barely see the next mile.
I asked the wind for answers,
but it whispered, “Just begin.”
I asked my heart for courage,
and felt a quiet strength within.
So I walked beneath the open sky,
with hope beside my feet,
not knowing where the road would end,
but trusting where it leads.
For life is not the destination,
nor the map we carry through,
it is the courage to keep walking,
when the road is still unknown.
