Looking for a "Cheap but Good" Annapurna Base Camp Trek Package - Recommendations?
Hi everyone,
I’m planning to do the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek soon and I’m looking for a package that is budget-friendly but doesn't compromise on safety and basic quality.
Since there are so many agencies and varying prices online, it’s getting a bit confusing. I want to find a balance between a "cheap" and "good" experience. I’m looking for advice on a few things:
Reliable Local Agencies: Does anyone have a recommendation for a local trekking company in Pokhara or Kathmandu that offers fair prices?
Cost Expectations: What is a realistic "budget" price for a 7-10 day trek including a guide, permits, and basic teahouse stay?
Personal Experiences: If you’ve done ABC recently, did you go with a guide or a group? How much did it cost you approximately?
DIY vs. Package: Is it significantly cheaper to just hire a guide independently instead of booking a full package?
I’m really looking for first-hand experiences or any hidden gems (local guides/agencies) that you guys might know of.
