I find that many people lack depth.
Sure, people put up walls; they don't usually reveal their depth. Some act superficially, as if they were empty shells, but inside they have great depth and so many interesting qualities. But seriously? If you look closely, you can recognize these people—even when they try not to show it.
But what about the masses? There's nothing there.
If you come across them... and engage with them on a deeper level—they'll be taken aback. Their eyes will widen. They've never experienced anything like this before—they might not be able to follow you.
Why is that?
Why are there so many empty shells wandering around out there?
They try to be like everyone else; they want to blend in with the crowd and not stand out.
They all say the same things, do the same things, and focus on superficial matters.
Isn't that boring as hell?
Goodness, my feet would fall asleep from boredom....
A lively mind needs to be kept busy. It must be curious to explore everything, experience everything, and know everything.
It is searching for depth. Your lively spirit also delves deep within yourself and discovers things there that may frighten you—or amuse you, or simply fill you with wonder.
A living spirit becomes an individual.
And someone like that refuses to conform to the masses.
For mass is the death of all intellectual depth.
