Today I want to talk about World Hepatitis Day, which is observed every year on 28 July. It is a global awareness day that helps educate people about hepatitis, encourages testing, and promotes prevention and treatment.
Hepatitis awareness is important because hepatitis can seriously damage the liver, and many people may have it without knowing. Learning about it early can help prevent complications and save lives.
One simple step everyone can take to help prevent hepatitis is to get vaccinated against hepatitis A and B if recommended, practise good hygiene, and never share needles or personal items such as razors or toothbrushes.
