Roof Replacement Material Options
I am in the Chandler area with a 25 year old roof. I got several quotes for replacement but I see options for TU-43 rubberized Asphalt and Westlake Royal peel and stick underlayment. I like the peel and stick option to “self heal” the nail holes but it sounds like a mess to ever redo in the future. They are comparable costs and either option is better than the old school felt / tar paper I have today.
Roof is a “normal pitch” with flat cement shingles.
Any feedback on which is preferred here with the heat?
Note - contractors are ROC, etc. I am not using a “handy man” for a project like this. I am not looking for services, have quotes I am looking for feedback on what holds up better here.
