Exit polls in Kazakhstan’s 23 August parliamentary election put the new pro-presidential Adilet party at 70% to 72% of the vote, according to Reuters. The polls also reported turnout above 74%. 🗳️
The vote was the first for the country’s new single-chamber Kurultai. It followed a constitutional referendum in March that merged the former two-chamber parliament into one legislature.
