New Workshop! Metal or Stick Frame?
I will be building a new workshop in the near future, and am just starting the planning process. Does anyone here have any experience with those pre-engineered metal buildings? I am considering one of these over a traditional stick-framed shop. In either case, I'll be doing as much of the construction work as I can, so the *time* required to build is a factor, but the labor rates not so much.
Things to consider:
\- Up-front cost
\- Longevity of the structure - upkeep/maintenance/etc.
\- Insulation and heating/cooling costs (located in Ontario, Canada. I will be running heat in the winter and A/C in the summer)
\- Ease of adding/modifying wiring, adding cabinets, interior finishing, etc.
