Sherif could have won it in two sets, she had the lead 5-4 40-15 on her serve in the first set, but then lost three games in a row.
In the third set, she came back from a break down and a 0-3 deficit after breaking Waltert from 40-0 in the fifth game of the set and saving two break points in the following game.
Her next opponent will be Elsa Jacquemot, whose match was almost two hours shorter (1:26 vs. 3:17).
