Am I too trusting?
I was just a dog park. Sitting in a bench. A guy, maybe in his 40s walks in with a dog. He doesn’t look sketchy or anything. Sits on the same bench since the other one is taken by some agressive dude. He asks me if I’d like some coffe. Kinda weird to get offered a coffe by a rando in a park. I ask if he’s for real? Says yeah, it’s a nice sunny Sunday morning. I think weird but whatever why not and say yes. He takes out a packaging with a paper cup a thermos and he pours some for me. We sat on the bench enjoying the sun and coffe. Didn’t talk much, he was very talkative, seemed like he just wanted to enjoy his coffe.
My wife says that’s too trusting. Am I?

Not too trusting for talking on a bench. Too trusting would be taking the cup with no questions, and you already called it weird, which is the useful part. A sunny Sunday and a dog do not turn a stranger's coffee into a safe yes, and saying no is not rude. The line stops at weird but, so finish it. Where did you land?
