I totally forgot the Valentines and feel terrible about it!
So my 3 year old does morning preschool. They sent a letter home about valentines day and how they had specific rules about valentines. No foods, only put your child's name on them, and try to not go over the top since the main activities will be done in the school since we have a wide income gap in our area.
Anyway, we had little valentine cards ready to go and I forgot to put them in his bag. Only realized when we got him home, he was the only kid who didn't get to pass out a valentine. I assumed that the kids likely made some in class but I was wrong. Every kid had a valentine to pass out but him and they were all way cool ones, to boot! Slinkys, bubbles, puzzles, straight up toys.
I felt so bad! My dad used to be completely aloof to my school activities as a kid and it was common for me to be in the same sittuation as a kid and I feel terrible about putting my kod in the same spot! My kid doesn't seem butthurt but I feel like a total fail for this one.
