Filling a wood cavity when replacement is unreasonable…

Filling a wood cavity when replacement is unreasonable?

Ranch home with eaves that extend about 2 feet from the home, with roof sitting on 4x6 exposed painted beams. At an inside corner of the roofline where two of these beams meet, the gutters just cannot stop rain water from getting behind and onto the facia and beams. A colony of what seems to be moisture loving ants resides in this corner, within 1-2 inch opening due to rot (if not carpenter ants).

Given the rot is at the end of the beams themselves, up and mostly under the facia boards, and there's not really room to cover the opening, is there a product I can use to fill the void, similar to an expanding spray foam?

Or better to fashion some kind of flashing in front of the area that runs all the way up to and under the drip edge?
