Kashmir Great Lakes Trek My Experience **Kashmir Great…

Kashmir Great Lakes Trek My Experience

**Kashmir Great Lakes Trek My Experience**

I’ve done the **Kashmir Great Lakes trek** multiple times, and honestly, it never feels the same twice.

Every day on this trail feels like you’ve entered a completely different world.

We started from Sonamarg, and within a few hours, the noise of the road disappeared. Just silence, mountains, and endless green meadows. The first night at Nichnai was cold, but the sky… full of stars you don’t usually see.

By the time we reached Vishansar, it hit me why people call this one of the most beautiful treks in India. The lake was still, reflecting the mountains perfectly. No filters, no edits—just unreal.

Crossing Gadsar Pass was probably the toughest part. Long climb, thin air, unpredictable weather. But standing at the top, surrounded by snow patches and peaks… worth every step.

Gadsar Lake felt wild and untouched. Less people, more raw nature. That day felt different—quieter, deeper.

Then comes Satsar—multiple lakes hidden between rocky terrain. It almost feels like you’ve discovered something secret.

But the real moment? Gangbal & Nundkol.

Camping there, with Mount Harmukh in the background… it doesn’t feel real. Early morning reflections on the lake, zero noise, just pure calm.

What I love most about this trek is how fast everything changes—weather, landscapes, mood. One moment you’re walking in sunshine, next in rain or mist.

It’s not the easiest trek—long days, river crossings, cold nights—but it gives you something back. Not just views, but a feeling you don’t get in normal life.

If you’re into trekking, this is something you should experience at least once.
