Need advice to upgrade my AM4 build
Here is my current config, bought in 2020
\- AMD Ryzen 5 3600
\- Gibagyte RX 5700 XT GAMING OC 8G
\- ASUS TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS (WI-FI)
\- Corsair TX650
\- DDR4 32GB (4x8GB)
\- 2TB SSD NMVE
I would like to upgrade, with the main goal of playing recent titles (like E33) in 1440p (high settings if ultra is too much of a stretch) and with as much future proofing as possible.
Budget is not that much of a constraint, I'm even considering a 9070xt, although I would rather stay on AM4 (DDR5 prices + new motherboard is too much for now), I can afford a 9070(xt), a new CPU and PSU if that means I'm good for 4+ years.
I also want to stay with an AMD GPU (playing mainly on linux + not a NVIDIA fan generally)
My questions are :
\- I'm concerned with CPU bottleneck, so do you have any advice on which CPU or CPU/GPU association I can upgrade to ?
\- I suppose I should also upgrade my PSU, I have no idea how to calculate the new power I need, any tips on that ?
\- Finally, if AM5 is really the best option, or if waiting out the crazy current price/supply situation out is worth it I'm glad to hear your thoughts.
I'm in Europe (EU) if you can take this into account for prices/avaibility. :)
