I made a really visually appealing map of a road trip I'm trying to plan in the next few months in MS paint and i need help drawing the ideal route. I'm planning a 30 day trip, I'm starting and ending in CT/MA, The main goal is to explore the entire west coast plus Colorado. however, since i don't really plan to do a trip like this again, there are optional stops id like to fit in too if its realistic, especially considering i gotta drive through the east and Midwest anyway, and i don't wanna completely speed run the other parts of the country.
Legend:
\-gold stars are must stop main destinations. each gold star state i plan to spend the majority time in
\-Black stars are optional stops id like to see, either for one individual location/thing, or just top say I've been there. if i don't fit them into this trip, i either can do it later or won't regret skipping it
\-red ! area is what i remember as death valley, I'm taking an older car and don't wanna die in a desert preferably, so I'm thinking i should avoid?
To Note:
\-I'm aware i wrote New Vegas, i wanna visit the irl fallout locations
\-i have beef with the city of Pigeon Forge Tennessee and would like to avoid it
\-ik Fortlauderdale/miami is completely out of the way, which is the only reason its black. its my most desired optional stop however, i really wanna see something there but if it's REALLY impractical ill go there another time
\-Tips not related to a recommended route are very appreciated, my longest drive was a 16 hour to and from Tennessee (related to P.F beef) which was a very exhausting one shot drive i had company for, I'm not sure yet if this is gonna be a solo trip or not so i gotta do my research
\- i have Crippling ocd, so tips on finding consistently clean public bathrooms and showers is also appreciated (i have a planet fitness black card) #activities #travel source
