Best pocket camera for travel that survives backpacking trips instead of becoming dead weight
Every time I go backpacking I tell myself I’ll take more photos, so I bring a proper camera setup along with my phone. And every time it plays out the same way: I use it a lot for the first day or two, then it slowly stays in my bag because it feels like too much effort compared to just grabbing my phone.
I’m trying to fix that this time and keep things really minimal.
Looking for something truly pocketable and fast, something I’ll actually use consistently on the road, not just a nice-to-have that ends up unused halfway through the trip.
What has worked for you on long backpacking trips without becoming extra weight or hassle?
follow up: Picked up the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Standard from AliExpress https://rdtgo.click/dji-osmo-pocket-4 , and I’ve already been using it a bit, so far it’s really doing what I wanted, which is just staying in my pocket and getting used instead of sitting in my bag.Kind of feels like this might finally be the simple travel setup I was trying to figure out.
