Contractor Chaos?
We recently had some drywall mudding done to repair the shitty work of another drywaller. Contractor quoted me $900 for the repair. Had their guys come out to look at the job before had and ultimately approved the quote and moved forward.
Now the work is done and the contractor says due to the “additional work“ the total cost is $1400. We never discussed an increase in cost, was never sent an updated quote and when i argued, the contractor said he was “on vacation and unable to get in touch.” I’m in a jam because they did good work and I’d like to hire them for another job, but this feels like a huge issue to me. How would you handle this?
