Please DON'T leave the kettle full for the next person
There's a manner about kettles that I've never understood: when you're done with the kettle, it's considered polite to leave it mostly full so the next person to use it doesn't have to fill it up.
This has never made sense to me because most people using a kettle just want a cup's worth of hot water, and water takes a long time to heat up. If you leave a lot of water in the kettle, the next person either has to wait longer for their water to heat up, or dump some water out first. In comparison, it only takes a few seconds to add the amount of water you need to an empty kettle.
So the manner should be the opposite: it should be considered polite to leave the kettle empty or near-empty when you're done.
