Happy Monday! Happy New Week!
Monday: Lower your voice. We’re fragile.
Me: Happy “why did I stay up that late on a Sunday?” Day!
My Alarm Clock: You made choices.
Me: Rude. Okay but listen, we survived the weekend and now we’re in that part of the week where the alarm feels personal.
Coffee: I’m trying my best.
Me: Some of us are caffeinated. Some of us are just, blinking aggressively. Progress is progress. Also, fun fact, today is World Understanding and Peace Day. ✌️🕊️
Monday: On me? They scheduled peace, on a Monday?
Me: Yep. Shoutout to the brave souls at Rotary International who said, “You know what day needs more patience? MONDAY.”
Coffee: Bold. Delusional. Inspirational.
Me: It’s about goodwill, friendship, and not assuming Greg from accounting woke up and chose chaos.
Greg from Accounting (offstage): I did not choose chaos. Chaos chose me.
Traffic cuts you off
Me: Peace. Understanding. Growth. Maybe they’re late. Maybe they’re dramatic. Maybe they drive like that.
My Inner Voice: Maybe we honk.
Me: NO. WORLD. UNDERSTANDING.
Email Notification: “Per my last email…”
Me: Deep breath. Deep breath. We are mature. We are evolved. We are not typing what we’re thinking. 🤔
Coffee Machine makes a noise that sounds financially threatening
Me: We choose harmony. We choose calm. We absolutely cannot afford a new appliance.
Me: Peace doesn’t have to be dramatic. Sometimes it’s, not clapping back, not sending the text, muting the group chat, forgiving yourself for planning Friday at 9:04 AM.
Monday: Honestly? Fair.
Me: If we can extend understanding before caffeine fully kicks in, that’s elite maturity. That’s “add it to LinkedIn” behavior.
Coffee: Now we’re talking.
Me: So this week we assume positive intent. We breathe before reacting, and we remember everyone else is also just a tired human trying to function before 10 AM.
Monday: Fine. I’ll cooperate. Slightly.
So friends, go be the reason someone believes in kindness today, or at minimum, be the reason someone merges peacefully. 🤩
