Navigating South east Asia
Hey travellers,
Im 22M from Melbourne, and am about to finish my apprenticeship, and for years have been waiting for this moment so that I can spread my wings and begin my backpacking journey. I want to dedicate 4-6 months in South east Asia, and then look to South America. Ive been very frugal and money conscience the last few years, and have managed to save about 30k(Aud) as a safety net. In saying this, I really want to find work to minimise my spending so I can keep travelling for as long as possible, but the whole financial aspect is already making me nervous. Is it relatively easy to find hostel or bar work in South east Asia? If im being frugal, how long would 30K be expected to last me? Any stories, advice, or guidance on how to find work while travelling in Asia/ Sth America/ and Europe would be much appreciated. Im open to working holidays in Europe, and am planning to have at least a year and a half of travelling. Any engagement is appreciated.
