Securing a rolling chain link fence to block walls...
I have a 6-ftx10-Ft chain link panel that I attached heavy duty Wheels to turn it into a rolling RV gate. My question is what would be the best hardware to use to secure it in a "release when needed" manner. So basically when I want to roll the gate open I can just unlock the device and I can roll the gate freely. I don't need tracks or anything, it's just going to be a freestanding thing. I went to Lowe's the other day and asked a couple people what they thought and they really didn't have anything good to give me.
one of the CLOSEST options I have found is a Speeco self locking gate latch https://www.walmart.com/ip/SpeeCo-Two-Way-Self-Locking-Gate-Latch/683594970?utm_medium=feed&utm_source=chatgpt.com , and while it isnt specifically designed for this... it is the closest option.
