The Titanic was a passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean in 1912 after colliding with an iceberg. The ship was deemed "unsinkable" and carried more than 2,200 passengers and crew. Of those on board, more than 1,500 people lost their lives in the tragedy. The ship was found in 1985 and has become a popular tourist attraction, with exhibits on the ship's history and artifacts from the wreckage.
