I am worried about what comes next.
Leading up to 9/11, everything was feel good. I mean, everything. That is also why the 90s feel so nostalgic, even for people born after 99. Life wasnt behind a screen and everyone felt connected more so because of it. People talked to neighbors as if they were family. Events and concerts felt more personable.
Today, we see a huge surge of remakes of nostalgic movies, TV shows and even brands coming into the mix. The World Cup being in the US has shown what love humans have for each other all over the world. Divided only by media and politicians. We are more awake now than ever and that has drawn has to many common causes. Especially against a certain country.
It's a scary situation because it feels like, the moment before another big event. Right before they pull the rug. You know exactly what I am talking about. People are quicker than ever to question. People are less afraid to post on social media about what is really going on. Feels like the real YouTube channels before the great purge.
I hope I am wrong. I want to be wrong. I need to be wrong.
This life can be free and beautiful, but we are at the mercy of maniacs.
