Somewhat new comic reader with questions
I have been getting more into comics since the release of The Last Ronin. And recently i have finished the entirety of the Tom Taylor Nightwing run by collecting it by volumes rather than single issues (personally i don’t know how people read comics issue to issue there is barely enough in one issue) and also been reading Absolute Batman. I am trying to avoid comics that have close adaptations that i have seen but recently seen the marvel premiere collection comics and plan on getting more if its a good way to get the complete story’s of those comics. I also have gotten the full volume or graphic novel version of Old Man Logan and it was amazing. So i guess here are my questions…
1: is it better to collect in volumes or by dc compacts/ marvel premiers collections style?
2: what are more unique but great comics that are good to read and dont reassemble there adaptation closely? For example how old man logan movie and comic being very different but both being very good.
3: are the sequels to Old Man Logan worth reading?
4: Is Fantastic Four Solve everything a good introduction to the comic book versions of the characters?
5: is avengers time runs out worth reading? Ngl even though i like the avengers films the only comic i am really interested in reading is the civil war comic run. So idk if the writing of the avengers comics in general will be as good as avengers earth’s mightiest hero cartoon. Which was amazing
List of comics i already plan on getting:
Planet hulk
Civil war
Hawkeye (the one the show is based on)
Daredevil man without fear
Daredevil born again
(Huge fan of both daredevil shows)
Absolute green arrow (when it releases)
More absolute dc universe in general
Again sorry for the long post but i am a somewhat new reader trying to find the best ways to get complete story’s without breaking my wallet. Also just curious to see what comics y’all would recommend.
