It feels like it is never ending. Every single day…

It feels like it is never ending.

Every single day something comes up. I feel tired of hearing and seeing it. It just doesn't seem real.

We bought a house and moved in in the first week of June. We are in NM, USA. Our house is over 20 years old. has only ever has 2 owners before us. We got it inspected and nothing major really came up. Just that there are some rails that are not bolted in properly, illegal wiring system peaking out the wall, etc. I mean NOTHING major. AC heat up just fine. Medium water damage on the bottom floor but previous owner agreed to fix it. All bathrooms working just fine. Some windows were hard to maneuver but again nothing crazy.

Left us about 10+ keys and NONE of them were for the house. except the mail keys. All the doors were different brand and lock. They did not have the keys for any of those doors. All the doors do not latch properly either.

On the day we got keys to the house, part of the fence fell down. We just put it back with 2 pieces of nailed wood.

Owner left a bunk storage they built but it used so many different screws and wood that it took a couple of days to take down. They also left this big screw on the ceiling that they used to hang from when they would work out.

Everything needs to be repainted as the color of the house is ugly but what is worse is the fact that they did such a horrible job patching holes they have made on the wall. Fine that was something we knew we wanted to do in the beginning. But how come the stucco had SO MUCH CRACKS that we did not really notice until we already own the house.

Previously hurricane affected us and it was raining for a while. 6 spots on the house started leaking including some areas close to parts of the house that were repaired. The pet door also was leaking and we did not find out until previously when it was raining a lot.

Looking at the shed, they placed the shed the wrong way on the blocks you lay the shed on.

Light switches do not make sense. There are light switched deep in the kitchen that you need access to before you enter the kitchen. There are no switches for the living room ass they are by the kitchen and by the other entrance. The outside ceiling light has 4 slots and only 2 were filled but we did not see it until we cleaned the light that was full of dead insects and spider web.

The door has poor insulation as there are gaps under the door.

Remember how I said nothing too crazy with the windows? Well the windows started to get moisture damage when it started raining more. Some of our windows are also very uneven so when you close the plantation windows, there are gaps.

The fire alarm that should last "10 years" just died and now we have to replace the whole thing as it looks like you cannot just replace the battery.

The dryer tubing was clogged and it made our machines show error and not work properly. It also stunk.

We did not find out that the dishwasher was not anchored on to the counter until we started using it and it was tilting. The cupboards/cabinets in the kitchen were just drilled on to the wall how ever they can.

The microwave light and vent do not work. There is no way to vent when there are no tubes going to the outside. Most of the lights in the house are different colors and types.

2/3 toilets had very very lose toilet seat.

They left a bunch of dog poo on the back of the house that were grey and dried out and I just keep finding dog poop in places.

There are a bunch of outdoor gates that was just left out that really do not have any purpose as the hinges were broken or parts of the gate was already trashed.

The gate remote stopped working briefly and soon after the garage remote stopped working.

TLDR: Bought our first home and inspection went fine without major issues. The second we move in things start to fall apart. Is there a way I can feel better about this situation? Is this normal to find more things wrong after living in it for sometime? There are MANY more I did not mention that didn't get mentioned or even if they were mentioned by the inspector it didn't seem like a big deal per report. I feel insane and I am trying to have a better about this house as we bought it in an expensive part of the state in our early/mid 20s. I am trying to give ourselves kudos for being able to afford this house that we thought was lovely. I need to hear other people's thoughts and not just ours and family.
