A wise man once said.
If you do anything with a divided heart, where is the joy in that? When I work, I'm invested with my entire being. When I play, I'm there with every ounce of my strength. When you run, your footsteps should breathe life into the earth. Even the ground should feel glad that a man with fire in his stride is treading upon it.
Do you hear the sound the earth makes? The ground responds to you. When you strike the ball with total intensity, the ball speaks back. The racket cracks with a voice as if everything around you is cheering.
Yes, this is it. This is life. A roar should rise from the court, the ground, the racket, the ball, and even your opponent. There is life in that roar. There is no beauty in being half-hearted.
