Question about how to best connect two 8x8 beams end to end for a boat ramp
Hi folks,
I've got an abundance of free, water-resistant 16' 8x8s I'd like to use to make a boat ramp for a 16' boat, however given the terrain I need to attach 2 end-to end to cover the span. What would the best way to do this be? Metal plates on the sides with bolts? Some kind of joint? Any input welcome. Thanks in advance.
