What gear do you bring on day hikes?
After my second time doing the BSA wilderness survival merit badge and seeing how underprepared a lot of the other scouts were for the day pack overnight requirement, I was wondering what kind of gear the average hiker brings on a day hike?
Please be more specific than saying "10 essentials" or "First aid kit," but you don't need to outline the model or too many specifics (You can if you really want).
