My opinion on the cancer conspiracy.
The cancer conspiracy is the belief that all pharmaceutical companies (and by extension, all governments) are hiding the cure for cancer so they can keep charging cancer patients for treatments. And the only people that allow to get the cure are the elites and, apparently, the people who control the world from the shadows.
In my opinion, I don't think that theory is true, for multiple reasons:
1- the elites get cancer too, like Steve Jobs.
2- it relays on the fact that the entire Healthcare sector is privately owned by companies, which isn't true, public Healthcare exists.
3- don't you think the company with the cure for cancer would become the richest pharmaceutical company by having the solution to one of the most horrifying and persisting diseases ever?
4- there's hundreds of thousands of people who are working in cancer research. There's no way you can lie to that many people in the nature of something while researching it.
5- and finally, cancer isn't one disease. It's an umbrella term for over 100 types of cancer with different characteristics and treatments. A treatment for lung cancer wouldn't work on, for example, bone cancer. That alone make the cure of cancer an impossibility.
