Why can’t I toss the bible?
My dad passed away in 1997. He was a drunk and an asshole. I can never remember him stepping foot in a church unless it was a wedding or funeral.
I was cleaning some things last week and came across a Bible with his name on it. It doesn’t look like it’s ever been used.
I’ve been an atheist for more than thirty years.
Why can’t I bring myself to throw away this Bible?
