Shallow shelves
I would like to make a set of very shallow shelves (like in the photo, maybe a touch deeper) for area beside my refrigerator. I have very little woodworking experience, but it looks like a very simple project. Is there anything that I should do to make it look more polished and professional? I plan to attach molding along the ceiling and floor to match the surrounding area. Any suggestions are appreciated, or even others reference photos because I’m having trouble finding any. The fridge is encased in a wooden box so I could either use that as the back of the shelves or make a new backing.
