I want to build a better pantry.
This is my messy pantry, it’s builder grade and the shelves have sagged since the house was built in 2020.
I want something better, I do know my way around tools and have completed simpler projects but wanted opinions and options for tackling this.
I want deeper shelvesr that don’t have vertical support bars, I want to adequately wrap them around the pantry better. I can figure out bins to go on the shelves but as it stands right now the space is just very poorly utilized.
My first thought is to go get a slab of 1.5in butcher block from Lowe’s, add some support 2x4s all the way around with some cabinet screws into studs , maybe triangulate the corners and slide the cut butcher block into place.
Would that even work? Am I using the right product?
I own a decent miter and circular saw as well as a good arsenal of hand tools but always been afraid of a table saw as I knew a very competent safe person who had 9 fingers due to one.
