Is it socially acceptable to wave to people you don't know?
Basically whenever I wave to strangers on the road or in the shop my parents always get mad at me and tell me only insane or mentally ill ppl wave at ppl who they don't know since stranger danger and that they don't want to associated with me if I continue doing so but I am confused because whenever I wave at ppl I am always met with positive responses and a few weird looks. So what's the view on waving at ppl you don't know. 😕
