Hi there!! I’m going to be turning 30 in November and my very kind father offered to take me and my (turning 40) yearold sister somewhere, since these are big decade birthdays. Pretty much anywhere he didn’t have any reservations when we chatted about this potential journey.
I’m kind of overwhelmed in a good way on what we should do or go. My dad is an avid cruiser, he goes on 2-4 a year for the past 15 years so he has alot of experience in the beachy/ Bahamas locations but that’s not really my vibe for the monumental opportunity I have. I have a 2 yearold and a husband who would stay behind, so it’ll just be me my sister and my father and stepmother. Our family loves history, learning about culture and we’re all food lovers. I am also a huge nature enthusiast. But I also love museums and architecture. I’m not an experienced hiker but I have done a few in the National Parks out in Utah, Arizona etc… in most of the South west. But my father is in his 60’s and unfortunately can’t do anything too strenuous.
This will probably be the only time in our lives that we’ll do this together, so this is going to be a very sentimental and special experience to share. I just have no clue on what would be best or where to even go. Some locations I was thinking of was Egypt, Thailand, or Brazil to see the Amazon. I will mention we are taking a family trip with my in-laws to Italy sometime within the next year or so because my SIL lives there. So maybe not that since we’ll already be going in the future.
I just don’t know where to start looking since the work is so vast and beautiful I wish I could see it all. Thank you for any and all advice, sharing your experiences and suggestions!! Bonus points for key can not miss landmarks and other things! 🤍 #travel source
