Anyone understand the process of acquiring a license for selling homemade food?
I want to sell food items I make at home (sandwiches, pizzas, sauces, etc) I called Amer lounge and they mentioned that the "Home Food license" (1k-3k AED) is only applicable to Emirati nationals.
Does this mean I need to apply for the mainland restaurant/cafe license (10k-25k AED) and either utilize a cloud kitchen pod, or, make them at home with approval from Dubai Municipality? I've read some articles saying it would take months to set up and is super costly.
Is it really such a lengthy/costly process to have a license just to sell homemade food? Would really appreciate some guidance.
