solo hiking made me realize i don’t have a plan for that “off” feeling
I’ve been hiking alone more recently and really enjoying it, but there was one moment on a trail that stuck with me. Everything felt normal, just quiet like usual then suddenly it felt a little too quiet. Tbh nothing really happened. I just paused, looked around and had that feeling like something wasn’t right but I ended up continuing anyway and yeah, nothing happened but the feeling stayed with me the whole time.
What stuck with me wasn’t the situation. It was realizing I didn’t really have a clear “default” response in that moment. For those of you who hike solo, what do you actually do when that feelih hits? Do you turn back, wait it out, keep going, or something else? #activity #hiking
