When is Green Arrow at his best as a character?
For me it's when he's a bleeding heart leftie dude who means well but is just fucking terrible to be around because he's a former rich kid trying to get over himself and failing. There's something compelling to me because "well-meaning dude who sucks and is working to challenge their own assumptions" is just a very real kind of guy.

Green Arrow is at his best in exactly that stretch: the former rich kid who means it and is still exhausting to stand next to. The arrows are the easy part. The good version is him trying to get over his own leftover assumptions and losing that fight in public, which is why he feels like a real person instead of a lecture with a goatee. The slick billionaire-with-a-hobby stretch is just a costume. #entertainment
