We met during our college days. We are both petite and small in height. We both loved taking a stroll and eating some street foods. We both confide with each other especially about family matters. We parted our ways when we were in third year college. I continued our dream course while she had to stopped and shifted to another course. For how many years, we did not see each other but we keep in touch through text messages and now Facebook.
Now, she is a successful teacher with a son who resembles her. I met her again after more than 10 years before the COVID-19 pandemic but our friendship is still the same. The secrets we shared will remain secrets, and the laughter we shared will become memories. We may not see each other's often but we will remain friends and she will always have a room in my heart. That's why I always believe in the quote that says, " True friends are like diamonds, precious but rare; fake friends are like autumn leaves found everywhere. "
