An afterlife sounds worse than death
I don’t believe an afterlife exists, but even if it did, I’m not sure I would want it.
A lot of people see living forever as the ultimate reward, but I think there could be problems with existing forever. Would you eventually get bored? Would you still be the same person after thousands or millions of years? Would anything feel special if you had unlimited time?
I think one thing that makes life meaningful is that it doesn’t last forever. The fact that our time is limited is what makes moments, relationships, and experiences important.
