Basketball needs a max height limit. The game is becoming "who won the genetic lottery" instead of pure skill and it's making it boring AF.
A 7'4" guy like Victor Wembanyama can literally stand under the rim, block shots without jumping much, contest everything in a 10-foot radius, and still shoot 3s like a guard. That's not skill - that's physics. Defenses are forced to play completely differently just because one dude exists. Same with past giants: Shaq, Yao, even Gobert to an extent. The rim becomes a no-go zone if you're tall enough. Shorter elite players (Curry, Kyrie, Dame, prime CP3) have to work 10x harder to get the same looks. They need insane handles, quickness, shooting, IQ - real SKILL. But a genetic freak can just camp and dominate without developing half that. Compare to other sports: Boxing/MMA have weight classes so it's skill vs skill, not "heavyweight crushes lightweight because mass." Why is basketball the only major sport that says "genetics win, deal with it"? We already exclude people under ~6' for guard/wing spots implicitly why not cap the top end too? #conversation
