I found a painted rock in the park the other day and it made me happy. Apparently people hide painted rocks all around the world. So I painted some of my own for others to find.
Believe it or not this is my first time painting since I was a kid. I adopted a ‘form follows function’ approach where the shape of the rock determines where my imagination goes. It really helped with eliminating the decision fatigue I usually have when starting creative projects and I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to get into a flow state.
Design credit (Left to right, top to bottom): 1. Monarch Butterfly (Copied from photo) 2. Lowly Worm in his apple car (Richard Scarry), 3. Composition with red, blue and yellow (Piet Mondrian), 4. Sleeping cat (Copied from photo), 4. Vase with twelve sunflowers (Vincent Van Gogh), 6. Starry Night (Vincent Van Gogh)
