Untracked Stock Dslr Rho Ophiuchi and Milky Way Core
This is the first image that i'm sufficiently proud of to post here, after trying some dso's with my 18-105mm kit lens (bad experience)as a newbie in astrophotography. If you have any criticism, i would like to hear it, personnally i think i may have overcooked it a bit in post. selecting areas and boosting brilliance and saturation felt a bit like cheating, is it standart process?
Balikesir, Turkey (Bortle 3-4), low on southern horizon
442 \* 6s , 50mm, f/5.6 (bad lens, lots of aberrations unfortunately) nikon d3300
On a cheap tripod, pressed the shutter button for all the frames
40 40 40 darks biases flats (siril did say my calibration frames are "probably incorrect" because "image contains \~20% negative pixels after dark subtraction"
some siril osc preprocessing and generalized hyperbolic transformation (i mostly didnt have much idea of what i was doing) some starnet, and some darktable for "cheats".
