Farmer recommended irrigation drip tape for standard posts
**Real-world advice for standard posts:** If you are running this along T-posts (suspending it off the ground for tomatoes, grapes, etc.), **do not buy 8-mil flat tape**. It will stretch, flap in the wind, and tear against the metal posts.
You need **15-mil thickness minimum** if it's touching posts.
*Alternative:* If you are hanging it *on* the posts rather than laying it at the base, you might actually want 1/2" or 3/4" **poly drip tubing** (round, thick wall) rather than flat tape. Flat tape is really meant to be laid in the dirt.
