Water pouring in basment
we bought this house 8 months ago. the house is positioned at the bottom of a hill. we have had an enormous amount of rain. many people in the area have been having issues. The basment in continously filling with water from every wall and the floor has giant cracks. When we get it near dry , the rain hits again. Our plan is :
1. Get the basement dry (we are currently still on this step)
2. Gut the basement entirely (it was unfinished basment)
3. We have hired a contractor to dig drainage around the house (has not happened yet because it has not stopped draining)
4. put in a second sump pump
Does anyone have any additional ideas
