Good morning, my dear friends! βοΈ Happy Thursday π
Letβs all take a moment to acknowledge that today is International Nutella Day, yes, an actual, legitimate holiday, recognized by anyone who has ever said βjust one spoonβ and then blacked out and woke up with an empty jar.
This glorious day was created in 2007 by a blogger named Sara Rosso, who basically looked at Nutella and said, βThe world is not appreciating you enough.β And honestly? She was right. Governments have failed us in many ways, but at least Nutella Day exists.
Nutella itself was born in Italy, which explains everything, passion, romance, and chocolate hazelnut spread that ruins all self-control. It was originally invented because cocoa was scarce, and someone genius said, βOkay, but what if we add hazelnuts and make it even better?β Innovation. Art. History.
Todayβs acceptable Nutella consumption methods include, on toast, π₯ͺ on pancakes, π₯ on waffles, π§ on fruit, (to feel morally superior) π directly from the jar while standing in the kitchen like a raccoon. π¦
Calories do NOT count today. Itβs international law. Donβt Google it, just trust the vibe. π
So if I seem unusually joyful, itβs because Iβm honoring culture, heritage, and a spread that has held more of my life together than some people ever have. ππ«
Wishing you all a sweet, sticky, Nutella-approved Thursday! ππ₯β¨
